Profile:  Wide TeaHouses

Similar in plan and design to the classic Original TeaHouse, Wide TeaHouses are for those who prefer a more generous structure with a larger deck and more "interior" space between the four upright supporting posts.

Wide TeaHouses come in two standard sizes — one with an 8' x 10' deck of Douglas fir floor boards, and one with a longer 8' x 12' deck. Both sizes of Wide TeaHouse include two small cantilevered "porches," one on each end.

The peaked roof is made of high-quality marine fabric and combines excellent durability and protection with superb design and timeless aesthetic appeal.

As with other models, an optional pop-up Kotatsu Table can help make a Wide TeaHouse even more versatile and responsive — creating an intimate table surface at a moment's notice for a meal or a cup of tea.

Even with the addition of curtains, blinds or optional fabric walls, many Wide TeaHouses remain simple, open structures that put you at one with your setting and surroundings.

But the larger deck also can also invite you to customize the Wide TeaHouse with a variety of hard walls, doors, shelves, shoji screens and other details to create a truly personal space that suits your exact tastes, needs and preferences — as a massage pavilion, backyard office, yoga retreat, or unique studio of your own.
